Investment Philosophy

  • HC invests in well-established businesses with growth potential, stable cash flows, operating track record, resourcefulness in problem solving, and ability to attract competent personnel.
  • HC is looking for significant restructuring opportunities with a potential to increase shareholder value.
  • HC is not a short-term trader. The group has a long-term investment horizon and assists its portfolio companies in achieving their long-term growth and profitability objectives.
  • Usually, HC does not invest in start-up ventures. However, start-up or acquisition opportunities to complement existing businesses are undertaken.

Management Strategy

  • HC works closely with management teams to development business plans following acquisitions. Each partner specializes in a particular business area leading to a better industry understanding and a more effective c ollaboration.
  • Partners of HC generally do not participate in a day-to-day management at portfolio companies but are active members of strategic management bodies.
  • HC appoints CEOs who can show initiative in the companies they manage. As a CEO incentive plan, HC provides an opportunity to co-invest in the portfolio companies. In addition, financial and other incentives are provided for other employee groups. Such practice increases motivation and enhances HC's control over the business.
